Let's talk about books

Books have been a HUGE part of my life since I moved to New Zealand. I moved here when I was nine years old and had no knowledge of the English language. I am now 20 and following a career which pretty much involves the English language every day...

When I look back to when I was in primary school, I remember how tough it was how I had to grow up really fast.

My family can tell you that I always had my head in a book. I use to love Jacqueline Wilson in primary school and birthday and Christmas presents were usually books from her.

FACT: I hate when my books get folded pages that I could cry. If I lend a book to a friend, I expect them to not fold the pages or crease the book in anyway possible! Freak? I think so.. (Ironic, how the picture of my book (below) shows how badly ripped it is) haha

I remember my first book I read in English. (In the picture on the right) I found it around the house and ended up finishing it over a few days. That is where my passion for the written word started.

I remember making brainstorms of stories I wanted to write and my Dad would ask me what I was doing and I would say.. "I am going to write a book!" Haha He must of thought I was crazy but I just loved it.

I even joined the library team where I spent my lunch times letting kids get out books from the library. Other times I would spent it reading in there finding books to take home.

It's funny when I think back and realise how my taste has changed. Sadly I did go through the Twilight faze...

Unattractive looking bag

I keep all my everyday make-up in this bag so I can grab it and take it anywhere I am going and everything is in it. I do have more make up but these are just things I use the most.
I also don't wear make up everyday, like on MA FACE, but I always wear eyeliner and mascara... So I don't look like a zombie.

Around my home

Whenever I get bored I pick up my camera, I feel I can get really creative and lost in a project that way. That is why I also sew clothes and do crafts when I am bored too. I hope you enjoy the photos I took around my home.

Last Adventure in Auckland

We just arrived home after a long.. long.... loooong bus trip! haha. There really is no place like home!

We came home to a crazy dog, super happy to see us, and to my Mum who had a late dinner ready for two hungry teens! 

So you must be wondering, what did we get up to today? Well.. first we went to St Lukes Mall until 10am where we made our way on foot (don't worry it wasn't that far) to MOTAT!
