Fun in the sun

Today was our first day in Auckland! The big city.

We are staying with family for a couple of days to go on a shopping spree, but as I always do, I pretty much spent all my money on the very first day. I am not sure if other New Zealander's feel the same but Auckland is a scary place, especially if you have lived most of your life in a small town! All I have to say is.. wow, today was great! People were super friendly!

We started the day taking the train to New Market where people were nice enough to tell us how to pay. We then went to an amazing cafe that had amazing service and a great gluten free menu, which Conor LOVED! haha. The highlight of the day, which got me all teary, was when we found my Holga! I have been looking into buying one for more than a year!! It was really the best find of the day!

The day was full of walking around! We walked from New Market, down Parnell Road to the CBD! All on foot! We then went to K Road, where the rest of my money went, we then walked all the way to Grey Lynn! It was an exhausting day but it was worth it! So now I am in front of the fire with a warm leopard blanket resting my tired feet. :)

Here are some photos of the day...

Some of the purchases :)

I have also set a challenge for myself to blog EVERYDAY! It will be hard, but I will do it!! I also set myself another challenge, to exercise everyday, I know that wont last long... haha

Have a great day/evening

  1. Yay for getting a Holga!! I have a Diana but I have always wanted to try the Holga as well! The only sucky part is 120 film is so expensive to buy/process :/ But the photos you can get are definitely worth it haha, I have so many rolls of film lying around waiting to get developed.

Also I love that swan print dress!! I have a strange love of anything with a Swan print, even though though they freak me out in real life hahaha.

Oh and good luck with blogging everyday!! :D

    1. I know! :) I was so happy when I found it! The Diana is amazing! I have been looking at these types of cameras for AGES! I was told that you couldn't get 120 film so I had to go get an attachment to get normal film BUT when I went to get film at Kodak 120 film was $17 and other film $25! So I returned the attachment and got a fish eye lens!
      :)
      I love your blog btw
